A General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark tactical attack aircraft on display in Freedom park, located on Nellis Air Force Base. First flown in 1964, it entered service in 1967 with the United States Air Force pioneering several technologies including variable-sweep wings, afterburning turbofan engines, and automated terrain-following radar for low-level, high-speed flight. Of the 563 Aardvarks delivered, 159 were these initial production F-111As. 42 F-111As were converted to EF-111A Ravens for an electronic warfare tactical electronic jamming role. Nikon D70s w/35-70mm
