Palm Springs residents are so friendly, happy, and carefree. It's like they're perpetually in a vacation state of mind! Is it in the water? It can't be. They live in the desert! We started our day with lunch at Jake's. Their fizzy Bellini and French 75 were marvelous and put us in a giddy mood. The Miami Vice salad was refreshing and every bite was abound with freshly chopped shrimp. It was one of the best shrimp salads I'd ever had as the shrimp to veggie ratio was simply perfect. J had the crab cakes smothered in poached eggs which were light, fluffy, and incredibly tasty. I don't usually like crab cakes but found myself sneaking big bites from his plate. We finished the meal with a slice of heaven in the form of coconut cake. The superbly moist cake was layered with sweet coats of coconut frosting. It was a monstrosity of a slice but was no match for our monster appetites. We left brunch feeling satiated and hooked on Palm Springs happiness.
I wore a retro inspired granny in the front, sexy in the back ruffle sweater and floral shorts from boohoo. The boohoo Global Styler instagram contest is ending soon so make sure to enter for a chance to win a dream vacation! My retro Koret shoulder bag matches the red of my Wet n Wild long lasting lipstick while my socks from Nylon Journal and platform wedges from Luichiny adds a touch of school girl whimsy to the outfit.
