Gauntlett Girls Give The Gift Of Others ...

It's been quite some time since we wrote about Nimmo & The Gauntletts and their single, Change, which was directed by and gained support from supermodel, Agyness Dean. Since their last effort, which we described as "[one] you won't be able to get enough [of]", they've been working for what seems a lifetime on this, their follow-up, called Others and, my, despite the wait, we simply can't fault their work.
They still have every bit of passion about them, which is one of the reasons that we had so much time for them before, and the likenesses to Florence Welch are still well and truly there, even though we would describe this as somewhat more experimental, and tribal scene ... something we could compare moreso to VV Brown.
They use much more instrumentation in this song, but still manage to get the same genre down, which is really a very refreshing and wondrous thing. There seems to be a lot more in the way of synths, especially in the beginning, and its the vocal which leads it all onto blossom into one beautifully exciting track.
The use of contrast is done especially well between the verses and the choruses ... though, even though this is obvious from the very beginning, by the end, where everything comes together in a rather large rush of sound, passion, noise, and eccentricity, you'll know that this is the sort of song with a climax that makes you really want to let loose.
There's something rather special about Nimmo & The Gauntletts, and so we're sure to keep a much closer eye on them in the coming year. They seem very underrated for the music they are producing time and time again and, we believe, it's only a matter of time until they're discovered by the masses and adored by the world.
