To make this recipe healthier, you can use half flour and half wheat flour with same recipe instructions. Mostly bread sticks served with cheesy dip but I made chili mayo as serving dip.
Preparation Time: 2 Hours Cooking Time: 30 Minutes Servings: 2 Breads Category: Snacks Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients: 1. 1/2 Cup Plain Flour or All Purpose Flour 1.1/4 Tsp. Instant Yeast 1 Cup Lukewarm water 1Tsp. Garlic Powder Salt to taste 4 Tbsps. Olive Oil 1 Tbsp. Dominos Seasoning Butter for Greasing 3 Tbsps. Eggless Mayo 1/2 Tsp. Chili Sauce
Instructions: Add lukewarm ½ cup water, sugar and yeast together and keep aside for 10 minutes. In separate bowl, add flour, salt, ginger powder and oil and mix well with fingertips. Mix the yeast gently and add into flour mixture. Knead the dough and more water if needed. Drizzle some oil over the dough and grease the bowl. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and keep aside to double in size for 60 minutes atleast. When you check after an hour, the dough becomes almost doubled. Now punch it down for air bubbles. Grease a pan with butter and sprinkle little flour. Divide the dough into two portions and roll it about ¼ inch thick.
Mix the plain eggless mayo with chili sauce. Serve hot garlic bread sticks with chili mayos.
Notes: You can even try with 1:1 ratio of wheat flour and maida.
