Funimation unveiled on Thursday the English dub cast and staff for P.A. Works‘ original television anime Appare-Ranman!. The company also announced that the anime’s English dub will premiere on Friday.
The cast includes:
Caitlin Glass is directing the English dub. Shawn Gann is the assistant ADR Director. Matt Grounds is the lead ADR engineer, and Gino Palencia is the assistant ADR engineer and mix engineer. Tyler Walker is the lead script writer.
The anime premiered on April 10. P.A. Works delayed the airing of the anime beginning with the fourth episode due to the effects of the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The anime restarted its broadcast from the first episode on July 3 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and BS11. It also did the same on TV Aichi beginning on July 7, and on Kitanihon Broadcasting on July 10. The fourth episode premiered on July 24, after being delayed from its original May 1 date. Funimation is streaming the anime with English subtitles as it airs in Japan.
Takeshi Kikuchi and Daijō Kudō are credited with project planning, with APPERRACING credited with the original story concept. Masakazu Hashimoto (Tari Tari, Crayon Shin-chan films) is directing, supervising the series scripts, and credited with the original story drafts. Yurie Oohigashi is designing the characters based on the original designs by Ahndongshik (Dongshik Ahn, Gagoze), as well as serving as chief animation director. Shiho Takeuchi is drawing the mechanical designs.
Miho Sugiura is directing the art, and Satoshi Namiki is the compositing director of photography. Naomi Nakano is the color key artist, and Motonari Ichikawa is directing the 3D. Ayumu Takahashi is editing. Satoki Iida is directing the sound, and Evan Call (Violet Evergarden, YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world.) is composing the music at Lantis.
The trio Mia REGINA are performing the anime’s opening theme song “I got it!” Showtaro Morikubo is performing the anime’s ending theme song.
The anime got a manga adaptation that launched in Kadokawa‘s Young Ace magazine on April 3. Ahndongshik, the character designer of the anime, is drawing the manga.
