Every person has a story. Every house has a story. Every neighborhood has a story. Stories are what connect us and turn a house into a home. For most people, moving is exciting but also scary and filled with questions. What will it be like to live in this new space? What about the neighborhood? Will I like living here?
This is why I ask my sellers to share their house and neighborhood stories. Always look for "From the Seller" in the supplements for my listings... it tells the story of the house from the perspective of the current owner so potential new owners can better envision living there.
It always amazes me how much serious buyers devour this information. At open houses I can hear them telling other visitors the story of the property... because they have already read about it, directly "From the Seller."
I had two new listings this week... very different houses, each with their own stories to tell and each with showings starting to be scheduled within hours of listing.
One house is in St. Louis Park... a 5-bedroom, 3-bath one-story home built in 1956-57. I love this story about the original builder... which we would never have known had the seller not shared it...
Want to read the rest of the story of this house from the seller's perspective? Visit www.1820Parker.com and click on 'From the Seller'. You can see it for yourself this Sunday, February 22nd. It will be open from 1-3 pm.
The other house is in the Cleveland neighborhood of north Minneapolis, close to Victory Memorial Parkway... a 2-bedroom 2-story built in 1924. It is interesting that the owners of both homes talked about the great flow as one of the things they love about their homes. Great flow makes homes feel more spacious regardless of size. In addition to loving the house itself, this seller talked about the great neighborhood with fantastic neighbors and cafes nearby... and the location perfect for walking and playing with her dogs on the parkway.
Learn more about this charming and affordable starter home at www.3451Upton.com... then come take a look on Sunday, March 1, when it will be open from 1 to 3 pm.
