For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a twice-monthly series that is one of my faves! I'm lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law's beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I've had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It's a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it! This blog series will be every other Friday alternating with Chic at Every Age.

Okay, so these pictures were literally taken last year. YES, I am THAT unorganized. Oh yeah, I have a few other Gma posts that never made it up before Winter was over... so be expecting those soon!
Anyhow, this keyhole top was part of a velvet skirt set. The top is so on-trend that I wore it separately with high-rise skinny jeans and a fur jacket. That's another "uniform" that you'll see me in during the colder months - fun top, jeans, and some kind of fur/fuzzy jacket.
Notice I'm wearing head-to-toe black. That's another style trick that I use often when running late or I just can't think of what to wear. 1) You match. 2) It's slimming even when you don't feel like it. 3) You look chic and deliberate (even if you just threw on random black things)! I threw on the winter white jacket for a fun contrast, but you can use any color for a pop.
THE STYLE Rx: Keep it simple and classy with head-to-toe black. (See reasons above!)
If you're ever running late, I challenge you to try it! Then let me know how it works out! What getting ready quick tips do you have?
Happy Friday Peeps! We were supposed to head to a 70s party this evening, but our babysitter canceled last minute. Maybe, that's a sign that we've been trying to do too many things. Anyhow, we will just have another Friday in and watching Netflix. We just finished the series, "Hell on Wheels", and I've been told to watch "What the Health" by multiple people... so I think that may be on the menu tonight! LOL! :)
We also have an airplane show, soccer, and church all planned in the mix for this weekend. What are y'all up to this weekend?
