#Frifotos – #Flames – They’re Not Just for The #Olympics !

By Kenin Bassart @Constantramble

This week’s #Frifotos is #Flames! I contacted the #Frifotos Gods and left #Flames as a suggestion for this week and what do ya know, they chose flames! I am not saying that they chose it because I suggested it or even that my voice was heard, but by golly I was ready.

This is the Calgary Tower. Seeing as Kenin and I are in Calgary this year for the winter and the Winter Olympics, this is so appropriate for this weeks Frifotos. Every time Canada scores a gold in the Olympics, the tower is set a flame for the whole city to enjoy and celebrate together.

This is a fire dancer from the Mai Kai in Fort Lauderdale. He was waving those flames so close to his underpants that I think I held my breath through the entire show. I can’t lie though, a small part of me was hoping to see his junk go up in flames, such tiny underpants to begin with. Who would miss them?

This is a lamp that I had the privilege of wearing on my head when we went exploring in an abandoned coal mine in Drumheller, AB. Apparently this is how they did it in the good ole days. Can’t say that I was exactly thrilled to be going into a coal mine with a live flame on my noggin.

Here is the Olympic Cauldron that is found at the Calgary Olympic Oval. There was nothing better than seeing it all lit up during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Kenin and I enjoyed a beer while cozying up to these flames and watching the Banff Snow Days festivities. Snow boarding and skiing galore!

This was a random fire dancer on the beach in Lake Worth, Florida. I would love to learn to do this, but I know with almost absolute certainty that I would light myself on fire. I am not exactly a graceful person.
