You may like to be true to your friends. Some of your friends smoke, party, drink, etc. And you may be more of a laid back person. Don't tell them how to live their lives and if they ask you to do something you don't want to do you should respectfully decline.

With really good friends, you may like to hang out with them and talk to them. Let them know a lot about yourself. If something is up, you let them know and hopefully vice versa. Never lie to them. Lying always finds a way to show itself. Just be an overall friendly person and to commit yourself to one group of friends. There's nothing wrong with having diverse groups of friends. Don't be clingy and annoying. Don't get mad over dumb things. Don't sulk. Tell them you're happy for them. Tell them they look pretty. Ask them to hang out.

"Friend" sounds jealous of you or just really immature. If they truly cared about you as a friend they would be doing this. You would never make a fool of your friends either on their own or in a group. A friend who does this to you, embarrass you etc at parties and you may find out in the end it was because she / he was jealous.
