Friday’s Fab Find: Hot Chocolate Design

By Bridgetteraes @BridgetteRaes

Happy Birthday to me! Well, yesterday January 30th was my 27th birthday. Yup, 27. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Oh, the millennial life!

Okay fine I’m not 27 but thanks to my religious use of sunscreen I do look younger than I truly am (if I do say so myself.)  I scored some big writing gigs in December which means I have some extra $ to buy myself a birthday gift and I’ve decided I want something FUN!

We all have that little part of ourselves that sees those $135 pairs of shoes at Macy’s or that $230 perfume at Sephora and think, “I really don’t need that… but I WANT it, so badly!!!!!!” They are items that every time you wear them it makes any occasion a little special.

My savings accounts is fairly healthy, no major expenses coming up (fingers crossed) and it’s my birthday! I found such a fun website, filled with things that I will only be able to wear on certain occasions but I’ve decided I’m going to go for it.

Hot Chocolate Designs

Hot Chocolate Designs has some of the most fun shoes, accessories and other colorful items that I have seen online. Founded by Carolina Aguerrevere & Pablo Martínez in 2004, Hot Chocolate Designs was created for consumers eager to flee away from the uniformity and creative rigidity provided by mass-produced brands. Visit their site here.

So many of the items have a vintage feel, others just appeal to the fangirl in any woman.  They are just some super fun colors and motifs. I really love the flat mary janes. They will add a touch of whimsy to any outfit.

I’m obsessed with the platforms as I am quite short but simply can’t endure 4-inch heels anymore (you know us 27-year-olds) but love being just a little taller… Those super adorable sushi platforms would make a perfect gift for me (HINT HINT).

Selected items are on sale until Feb 2nd, so you need to get shopping NOW.
