Throughout 2016 here on The Daily Constitutional I've been posting one London plaque every day as part of my #plaque366 project.
I'm a bit of a plaques junkie - to the extent that friends and family now make a point of telling me that they've spotted such-and-such a plaque when out-and-about in the capital, just incase I haven't seen it yet.
London Walkers, too, seem keen to chat about them. "Why doesn't "X" have a plaque?" Or "I don't think that "Y" deserves one!" And "Why does "Z" have a blue AND a green one?"
It was with great interest, therefore, that I watched this absolutely enchanting film from English Heritage on the making of one of their most recent commemorations, a plaque for Freddie Mercury in Feltham…
We'll be discussing plaques along the route of my Rock'n'Roll London Tour this afternoon!
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com
