Friday Favorites: Fall Ready

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Why, yes, that is meant to be a play on “already!” Get it?? My unmistakable…wit…aside, I am ready for Fall. Well, as ready as I’ll ever be after the unbelievable winter that just ended approx. 2 months ago. But with Fall (my favorite season and I don’t even drink PSL’s) comes all my favorite things. School supplies! Plaid! Riding boots! Football! Apple picking! And baking pumpkin everything! And actual, lovely Fall foliage now that I live somewhere with seasons. It’s great, for the few weeks it lasts before we revert back to the frozen tundra. The rainy 50 degree weather Chicago’s had for the last few days isn’t conducive to crisp walks in the park – no matter how excited you are to wear your Hunters with those crocheted wellie socks you picked up on deep discount this summer. But before I get to walk Ruby through piles of crunchy leaves under cloudless bright blue October skies, I need to fully embrace autumn. And nothing helps me do that like rainy days spent Pinteresting, crafting, and spiking apple cider. So here’s what’s on my prep list.

Consulting with the bestie as to which of these polishes to buy. I’m trying to phase out all my non-organic makeup, so I might look for corresponding colors from Zoya….but these are so good.

Gonna hit up Michael’s with ALL the coupons and get my craft on. This looks so easy & Charming in Charlotte wrote up a simple tutorial.

Found my new fashion inspiration and obsession, Karla Reed. I’m sure all you cool kids already knew about her thrifting genius and stylish ways, but I don’t have a personal IG – I just stalk all the best baubles using RLJ’s. SO I found Karla through the Big P and now I can’t get enough of her thrift finds and perfect styling.

And if the above indication wasn’t enough, I’m all about returning to private school roots in the fall. My old uniform would only be appropriate at college Halloween, but this plaid skirt is a lovely, ladylike way to wear the checks. Hold the crop top, por favor, although it does look great on Southern Curls & Pearls.

These are on my jewelry wish list.

This Buzzfeed List of Pinterest-y stuff at the Pinterest Offices is fairly amazing. My question is: do they ever feel Pinadequacy? That crocheted structural beam cozy tells me…maybe.

And over at the RLJ blog…

Shared rugged sports watches for just about every budget – seriously, a couple hundo up to a ceramic Rolex Submariner.

Coveted the new Apple Watch

And shared easy ways to save money on your wedding!

Have a great weekend everyone, and I hope you get to do something super fall-y, even if it means buying a ton of fake foam pumpkins.
