Don't you just LOVE spring? I couldn't be happier- my spirits are lifted, I can finally pack away my snow boots, and I no longer feel like some gremlin/hobbit/vampire hybrid who's never seen the light of day. Finally. It's been a crazy couple of weeks, but here's what I've been loving lately.

I couldn't be happier with my new downtown apartment! I've been a loving Upper East Sider for a few years now, but the time had come where I felt Phil and I had outgrown our little walk-up. We work damn hard in this city, and we deserve a little luxury! Our new rooftop boasts views of the World Trade Center, The Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, and basically every other iconic landmark in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Loving it!

Finally! I was beginning to wonder how much makeup we could possibly layer on our faces. After years of heavy contouring, winged eyeliner, and highly-pigmented statement lips, it seems the new make-up trend is light and natural. Don't get me wrong, I will always love a Kim Kardashian look, but it was getting to be a bit of a Drag. No pun intended. Right now in the city, girls are sporting a new trend: nothing but bright complexions and little mascara.

The sun is shining and the weather is sweet, which means running outside is an actual possibility. My girlfriends and I kicked off the season by running a 5k race to benefit the 911 Memorial in the FInancial District of Manhattan last Sunday morning. It was a beautiful day to do so, and we all finished within a respectable time of just under 30 minutes. 3.11 miles before 9 am? Not a bad start to the day, if I do say so myself.

The Higher The Heels... amirite? Wedges are key in Manhattan. You just can't expect to wear any other type of heel and walk around in comfort. These Sam Edelman espadrilles are as comfortable as they are beautiful and come in ivory, saddle (a luxurious chestnut brown), and black. I love the delicacy of the straps. Something tells me these will be quite the summer staple for me.
