Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Oil Spotlight

Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil from Nature’s Garden is the uplifting, refreshingly green aroma of fresh cut basil leaves.  Basil is often called the “king of herbs” or the “royal herb.”  This stems from the origin of the word “basil” from the Greek basilikon phuton, or “royal plant.”  Basil is most commonly used when it is fresh, in cooking recipes.  Cooking quickly destroys its distinct flavor, so fresh basil is typically added at the last moment of recipe preparation.  The flavor and scent of fresh basil are robust and distinguished, much like this fragrance oil!  A valued customer from Idaho wrote about Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil “Performs beautifully in CP soap. Smells very fresh and light! Perfect summer scent and works well in my shampoo bars.”  Try Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil today and see this versatility for yourself!

How Do Our Customers Use Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil?

Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil can be used to create incomparably refreshing room scenting products.  Room scenters can incorporate up to 50% of this green fragrance oil in projects like reed diffusers, incense, and potpourri.  This fragrance oil is also strong in aroma beads.  Homemade candle crafters can use Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil up to 10% with vegetable waxes and paraffin wax.  This scent will perform perfectly in Joy Wax, WOW Wax, and is nice and strong in soy waxes.  If you wish to color your candles, we would recommend two drops of green liquid candle dye per 4 pounds of wax.  You can also color your melted wax with a small amount of a green color block.  Do not use crayons to color your candles as they will clog your wick.

Fresh Basil Fragrance Oil from Nature’s Garden can also be used to create an uplifting, fresh bath and body experience!  Foaming bath whips and homemade body scrubs were found to perform well when the recommended maximum of 5% fragrance oil is incorporated.  If you are making hot process soap or cold process soap, you may use this fragrance up to 5% of your total recipe.  Our Fresh Basil Cold Process Soap Testing Video shows that this fragrance oil performs very well.  There is no acceleration, leaving you plenty of time to work with your soap batter!  There is no ricing and no separation in the soapmaking process.  Cured soap did not discolor, and the scent retention was good!  If you choose to color your bath and body products, we would recommend using green soap colorant in the amount that satisfies you.  Remember not to use candle dye in any of your bath and body products as they are not body safe.

Fresh Basil is an invigorating scent that can be used to create a wide variety of products!  Homemade perfumes perform well when a maximum of 5% fragrance oil is used.  We recommend homemade lotions adhere to a 5% fragrance oil maximum.  Homemade cleaning recipes can also be created with a maximum fragrance usage of 5%.
