Freekibble.com Feeding Forgotten Cats and Dogs

By Petslady @petslady

Who says that there is no such thing as a free meal? The website Freekibble.com was founded in 2008 by 11-year-old Mimi Ausland when she wanted to feed hungry cats and dog at her local shelter. Freekibble and its sister website Freekibblekat.com reaches out to more than half a million people and have become two of the most popular pet sites on the web. More than 115,000 people visit the site daily to donate. Their motto is "Every dog and cat deserves a decent dinner."

This is a "no excuses" donation. It costs nothing but a few seconds of your time. Just go to the website and answer the trivia question of the day to donate ten pieces of kibble to animal shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries around the country. Whether you answer right or wrong you have donated. What a great deal! Not a cent out of pocket and you get to feel good about helping the homeless -- pets, that is.

The official sponsor of the kibble program is Halo, Purely for Pets, a company dedicated to the holistic care of pets. The company is owned, in large part, by comedian, talk show host, and animal lover, Ellen DeGeneres. With Halo's help, Freekibble is able to donate high quality, healthy food to these cats and dogs as they await a new leash on life. "Halo" is right for being the angel supporting this program.

One of the best benefits of this program is that kill shelters do not need to kill quite so often now. Taking care of homeless pets is an expensive venture, as any pet owner knows. With Freekibble they are able to care for more cats and dogs without having to resort to the death penalty. .

So start every day online by putting a little love out there. Transform yourself into a hero. Just click and feed. It doesn't get much easier than that. You can even sign up to have them send you a daily email reminder.
