Four Things That Make iOS 7 Suck

On the first day of annual WWDC event, Apple unveiled their new, modified iOS 7. Just as expected, it has a flattened and a brand new design. Those design bumps aside, iOS 7 is not so much different from its’ predecessor. Only cool improvement is the new “iTunes Radio” music streaming service, which comes pre-loaded with a lot of stations. And yes, it’s free but with ads. Other than that, the new iOS basically sucks.

New girlish icon design

At first glance, I actually thought the new icon design in iOS 7 was the work of a 12-year-old teenager because it has the looks of just that. If you take a closer look, you’ll see that the new flattened icons actually look very girlish.

Weird inside-apps controls

Just as The Verge points out, the icon styles in iOS 7 “vary from app to app”. They call it “simply confusing”. These are the folks who actually got a chance to try out the new iOS hands-on. I’m no genius, but I can certainly agree with those guys as it clearly can be seen in this image that those inside-app control buttons are actually very confusing. Can you believe, that box in the middle of  Safari controls is really the sharing button.

No big improvements to Maps app

Apple has made their Maps app available for Mac. And showed off a demo of it and the ability to send updates to the iPhone, according to Forbes.  But, it’s still the same old sucky version with all the outdated information and messy 3D views.

Colors everywhere

Girls are starting to love the new iOS 7 because of this reason. There’s too many colors. Even the app icons have different colors, each. iOS used to be simple, elegant and stylish in design, especially when it comes to colors. Just look at the new “Photos” icon. It’s basically a rainbow.

Apple is seriously losing it. “Can’t innovate anymore, my ass,” that’s how Apple’s Phil Schiller explained their new improvements. However, new iOS gives us a hint, there’s a new iPhone on the way.
