Rabat- Four military conscripts are facing legal charges due to disobedience. The conscripts are accused of “refusal of obedience to military orders,” said Assabah in its edition of September 10.
The Arabic-speaking daily paper reported that the four individuals, undertaking training in the cities of El Hajeb and Guercif, refused to obey the orders of their officers during a sports exercise session.
The newspaper also mentions that one conscript “even responded with an insult and that the four conscripts had behaved the same way during practical training in martial arts.”
After forty-eight hours in police custody, the Royal Gendarmerie arrested and questioned the four conscripts. The four individuals were subsequently imprisoned at Sale’s military prison, awaiting trial at the military court of Rabat.
According to Assabah, the trial is scheduled for September 24. The daily also points out that two military instructors testified against the conscripts.
