Four Easy Ways to Style a Tulle Skirt.

By Samantha Curtis @hooahandhiccups

Happy Saturday! I know, you’re thinking what is going on?! You never post on Saturday! Well until now, that is! I’ve decided that every Saturday I’m going to be offering a Saturday Takeover.

What is it? A chance for another blogger to takeover my blog and write whatever they want.

Why? Because there are so many amazing bloggers out there and I want to share them with all of you!

Want more info? Check out my advertise page and use discount code “newtakeover” for 50% off this new option!

So without further adieu, it’s time to introduce you to my very first guest. I met Valery in a group on Facebook and I am so obsessed with her and her style. She’s fun, takes fashion risks, and is just an overall sweet and genuine person. She’s got an awesome post for all of you today so I’ll let her take it from here!

You’ve seen them all over Pinterest – the elusive tulle skirt. I’m here to tell you that you NEED a tulle skirt in your closet and I promise they’re much easier to style than you think! I live in Texas and we’ve still got a SOLID 2-3 months of hot weather so I’m going to focus on warmer weather styling – stay tuned for a fall/winter edition on my blog later this year….that is if it ever cools down! Here are four super easy ways to style a tulle skirt.

1. Throw on a crop top. If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a handful of crop tops in your closet that you don’t wear as often as you should. Wearing them with a tulle skirt is super effortless, and it doesn’t matter what kind of crop top it is – they all work! Dressy crop tops with heels are perfect for a date night or throw on a more casual crop top like I’m wearing for a girl’s lunch!

2. Wear your tulle skirt over a bodycon dress. Yep, this is a leopard dress. I LOVE the cut, especially the back detail but I’m not exactly comfortable wearing it on its own and a tulle skirt is the perfect way to show off what I love most about it. Plus, since it’s a bodycon dress it’s fitted and slips under the skirt perfectly.

3. Grab your favorite t shirt. Arguably the easiest and my favorite way to wear a tulle skirt – with a t shirt! Seriously, any t shirt. Fitted or not, it looks so chic with a tulle skirt and it’s an easy way to dress down the skirt and make it appropriate for everyday wear. You can also accessorize as much or as little as you’d like and just about any shoe in your closet will work, depending on the vibe you’re going for.

4. Choose your favorite button down, and give it a tie at the waist. I love this look because it’s dressy but the tie makes it a little more casual. Yet another outfit you can dress up or down however you please. I chose to keep the shoes fancy (Valentino dupes for less than $70….yes please!) and I added a statement necklace from Bauble Bar.
