Jean-Christophe Bédos began his career in 1988 at Cartier, and has climbed to leadership roles in various outlets throughout the jewelry industry.

Previously the head of upscale jeweler Boucheron, Bédos has been tapped as the new president and CEO of Birks & Mayors. This after former CEO Thomas Andruskevich retired last year. Bédos became president and CEO of Boucheron International in May 2004, and before that he was the managing director of Cartier France from 2002 to 2004.

According to JCK Magazine:

“During Bédos’ first three months, he will be the chief operating officer, reporting jointly to Andruskevich and board chairman Lorenzo Rossi di Montelera. He officially becomes president and CEO April 1.

Birks & Mayors operates 61 stores in Canada and the United States, including 32 stores under the Birks brand in Canada, and 26 stores under the Mayors brand in Florida and Georgia. The company has also announced plans to expand into China.”
