Food Review: Kitty O’Sheas, 15 Waterloo Street, Glasgow

New Menu at Kitty O’Sheas

The Colonel and myself always like lunch at Kitty’s, its quick, tasty and being next to Glasgow Central Railway Station, handy for transport. We felt it was time for another quick lunch so we ventured down into the depths….

Another new menu, which was a pity as the cheap lunch menu was January budget friendly. We quickly scanned the new menu to find out what was on offer and placed our order.

Mac and Cheese with Chips £4.95

For £4.95, it does the job.  Would I rush back for it especially…no.  Cooked well pasta but the cheese sauce was heading down the platform to Ayr.  If it wasn’t for the cheese topping there would be no cheese taste.

BBQ Bacon Burger £4 and chips £1.95.

The chips have devolved to the size of the budget lunch and not the previous full menu size.  The burger was tasty, toppings fresh and the bun held together throughout the meal.

Overall, a disappointment, the portions have decreased and so has the taste  The delicious chicken wings are no longer on the menu and it has all gone a bit “cheap pub”.  OK if you need some food, but not a delicious experience.

TL;DR

+cheap

-portions are smaller

-menu smaller
