Food Review: Food Fillas, 87 Renfield Street, Glasgow

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

Budget lunch in the city centre

Food Fillas have relocated from Ingram Street up to the corner of Renfield Street and Bath Street. A much larger premises here so room to sit and relax without feeling that you are getting in the way.

Outside

inside

Considering it was after 2pm, there was a steady stream of customers taking away rolls and other items.

Menu

It was one of those days when something comforting is needed, thankfully a wide selection of healthy and not so healthy meals available.  Soups, Mac and Cheese (will be back for this!) as well as hot rolls, salad rolls and breakfasts.

Cow and chicken burger

Cow and Chicken burger £5.50 – Spicy chips as well as fried egg on top of a burger – classic comfort food.

cheese steak baguette

Half a baguette filled with strips of steak and a philli cheese sauce served with salad and chips for £4.50.  Crispy warm baguette, big chips (none of this twice cooked stuff) and a wee bit of salad to be healthy

Loved the beanz light shades

Good honest grub, handy for transport, quick service and for the city centre, a good price.

TL;DR

+ Cheap

+ Quick

– No wifi – I’d be in here all day, or is that the plan?!
