What happens when food meets photography?? It’s called Food 'O' Graphy. When Kartikya Arora of Thnkmkt invited me to attend the event, I was really looking forward to it.Thanks to Kartikya, Ruby Singh and Faraz for the brilliant concept!
Chef Saby is not unknown to the foodie world. Winner of Best Chef of India, Awarded by the President of India, National Tourism Awards 2011-12, Chef Saby, youngest chef to receive the award was showcasing his culinary skills to few selected bloggers, writers and journalists.http://chefsaby.com/Event was to demonstrate the brilliant amalgation of food with photography. Ace food photographer Param Grewal, founder of Fnbshoots and Chef Saby together showcased some fine works at the world class kitchen appliances Miele’s Experience Centre.http://www.miele.in/in/domestic/experiencecenter_about.htmChef Saby, humble, soft spoken, energetic, and focused (and I can go on….) helped bloggers to prepare chicken sauces risotto and mushroom risotto and simultaneously kept an eye on the food that was being served to the guest. His warm hospitality made everyone at ease and he ensured that everyone was well fed and had their plates full. While he was monitoring the risotto and helping people with proper measurement so that the risotto comes out perfectly, he keenly answered all queries that we as enthusiasts placed forward. Chef Saby shared that dishes which require ample time in cooking should be presentable and “clicked” in a manner that depicts the “real” thing. Photographer Param Grewal was completely engaged in clicking picture of whole grilled chicken and shared with everyone on nitty gritties of his brilliant food photography. He answered my queries, w.r.t lights, settings and he as an ace photographer had the complete patience to share information on food photography.Overall a very informative, interactive and interesting event where everyone enjoyed and I had a great time! A Saturday afternoon well spent in the amalgamation of FOOD (Chef Sabv). PHOTOGRAPHY (Param Grewal) and TECHNOLOGY (Miele)!
