Fogo De Chão Brings The Brazilian Gaucho Tradition Of Churrasco To Uptown

By Ohsocynthia @OhSoCynthia

Southern Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão recently opened its newest location in the luxurious One Uptown high-rise apartment tower in Uptown Dallas. The concept opened its Addison location in 1997 and was the first place in the world to host a Fogo de Chão outside of Brazil. La tee da. Fogo de Chão shares the Brazilian gaucho traditions of churrasco, the art of roasting meats over an open fire, and espeto corrido, or "continuous service." The menu features a wealth of savory, fire-roasted meats perfectly seasoned, prepared and carved tableside for each guest by a team of authentic Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs. In other words, this is where you take your man for the carnivorous experience of a lifetime. Guest favorites include filet mignon, lamb chops and ribeye, as well signature Brazilian cuts like their house specialty Picanha sirloin. As a complement to the variety of protein options, guests can also enjoy the gourmet Market Table and Feijoada Bar, which includes seasonal salads, soups, fresh vegetables, Feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew), and authentic Brazilian side dishes. And don't forget my favorite thing there - the cheesy popovers they serve table side. I think I ate about 20 on my visit and then asked for a to-go box of them that I heated up and ate for breakfast the next day. 😋
To celebrate the new location, an introductory price of $46.50 is being offered for dinner. At lunch, diners can create a customizable experience designed to accommodate the busy schedules of weekday diners and business professionals (and ladies who don't eat much), starting at $15 for the Market Table only. Guests may choose to add a single cut of fire-roasted meat, all for under $25. On weekends guests can enjoy a Brazilian Brunch for $36.95 giving diners the full Churrasco experience along with the Market Table, fresh seasonal fruits, Greek Yogurt and some special, Brazilian-inspired breakfast items like Pão de Queijo Egg Bake, Braised Beef Rib Hash and a Seasonal Sunday Roast. To complement the experience, Fogo de Chão offers a special Brunch Bar in the main dining room where guests can enjoy made-to-order Caipirinhas and classic American brunch cocktails with Brazilian twists such as their cachaça Bloody Mary and Passion Fruit Mimosa. Olé! Fogo de Chão in Uptown is located at 2619 McKinney Avenue, Suite 150, 75204, (214) 720-2777
