Flooring Trends For 2019

This year, the flooring trend is about light wood.  Maybe this is a push back against last years often flashy, fussy and 'over' decorated trends - that homeowners are looking for a more open and airy feel.  A light wood floor really helps in this regard - when coupled with an overall lighter decorating style - there is less focus on feature walls and other items designed specifically for 'focus' and more attention on the room as a whole and how open it feels.

With this in mind, we run down our favorite light wood floors that will be bang on trend for 2019.

Kahrs Engineered Calce Light Oak 189mm x 14/3mm Click Lok Wood Flooring

This is a fantastic natural oak engineered oak flloring choice.  It's a mixed grade engineered floor which means it has knots so typical of oak products.  It's light color with the natural wood highlights is ideal to give a room an organic yet light and airy feel.

It's designed for easy installation too, with it's Click Lok system and as it's engineered, it is ideal for use as flooring with under floor heating.

Hillingdon Engineered Natural Oak Lacquered Click Lok 195mm x 7.2mm Wood Flooring

Another light oak engineered floor but this time in a lacquered finish.  This is three strip flooring - basically this means that each individual piece of flooring looks like three strips of natural wood.  This gives the look of much narrower flooring than a one strip product.  It has a beautiful natural, light look to complement a light interior style.  As it has a lacquered finish, it's incredibly hard wearing and very easy to maintain.  As it's engineered wood flooring, it's great for using with underfloor heating too.

Glanwell Engineered Natural Oak Brushed and Oiled 125mm x 18/4mm Wood Flooring

This beautiful, light oak engineered wood floor is brushed and poiled.  This means that it not only looks good, but it has a fantastic natural texture.  All the benefits of a solid wood floor in look and feel with the stability of enginerred wood flooring.  Ideal for underfloor heating, it has a 4mm 'wear layer' which menas that it could be sanded down and frefinished up to 4 times.  A light, airy and resiliant wngineered wood floor that will last for many, many years.
