Flashback Friday! - New York

By Ourbabyblog @OurBabyBlogx
I haven't made a photography post in a while and thought what better way to have a new one with New York! This was the best trip in the world, what made it even better is that I didn't know I was even going until the actual day! I thought I was seeing my mom off at the airport to go to Belgium, as I was standing there my mom asked me to check she'd picked up the right passport..so i checked and 'uh oh' it was mine..'mum you've picked up the wrong one!', 'you're joking!! ok, wait hold this'.....that was when she handed me the guide to New York..I stared in shock and then I just burst into tears..haha, I was so excited, I couldn't believe it, I had no idea, was I really about to get on a plane and go to New York, yes, yes I was!

My fascination with this place started when I watched Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, the toy shop, Central Park, Christmas, everything drew me in..my Mum always promised that one day she would take me, so on 16th February 2009, we headed off on the best trip of a lifetime :)

The view from our coach..I took far too many pictures by this point already..

Our first outing was to the magical Times Square, the lights, the buildings, the amount of people, the  business..it was crazy but amazing

Rush hour..to be fair, it seems to always be rush hour here ha

Stopping at a great Mexican Restaurant for some food and drinks, I had to get the pink lemonade!

This was taken just outside Madame Tussordes.

RIP everyone who lost their lives on 9/11 x

I wasn't quite brave enough to go Ice skating..

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my pictures, I can't recommend this place enough, yes it can be pricey but my goodness is it worth every penny! There is so much to see and do, I plan to go back there with Ben & Abbie when she's a bit older, I can't wait to show her the toy shops and my personal favorite being the 'Nikon Shop' HEAVEN for any photographer! :)Thanks to my beautiful Mum & Darryl for an amazing trip, as cheesy as it sounds, it was a dream come true :)*all images are taken and edited by me.
