FIVE on FRIDAY

By Blondie @heyblondieblog

Linking up today for the first time with Darci at The Good Life. Every Friday you blog about five things that you love, are on your mind or are just plain random. Here goes...

ONE: HOMEWORK
Can I just say that the second week into second grade and I can already tell homework is going to kill us! Monday thru Thursday nights are going to be a struggle to get SK fed, bathed (being honest..this may or may not happen every night), vitamins, brush teeth, pick out clothes for tomorrow, pack lunch AND do homework by her self-imposed 7:30 bedtime. Last year she upped her bedtime by 30 minutes because she was literally falling asleep by 6 on the way home from school. Her little brain has worked hard all day and needs to rest!
Thankfully, changing my schedule to get off 30 minutes early shaves off an hour in our afternoon commute. Side note...so far this 280 construction (taking out red lights and such coming from downtown) is great! Not sure if I will be eating these words in a few months but as of right now I love it!
Oh, and throw into our nightly mix a 2 month old who I have spoiled and knows that if he cries momma will get the wrap and hold him. Oh, and a certain 3 year old little man!
I need to simplify our evenings but am struggling to figure out what is going to work best to have happy children and maybe more importantly so mom and dad don't completely LOSE IT!
TWO: ALABAMA FOOTBALL
Roll Tide!! The first game is this weekend and we have the most AMAZING friends who are going to watch all three kiddos so Dagwood and I can go. It might be wrong how excited I am! I love my babies but am excited to have some one on one time with my man! Plus, it makes it easy to go out of town when we know that we don't have to worry at all about the kids. They will be loved on and spoiled.
THREE:  IT'S (ALMOST) FALL Y'ALL!

I am so ready to see the leaves change colors, for trips to the pumpkin patch and the beautiful weather.
FOUR: BLOGGING AGAIN
I hate that I got so behind on blogging but at the same time I was behind on probably more important things as well. Like the dishes and laundry. But snuggles with my little guy were so precious and I wouldn't change a thing. Hopefully I can get caught up before the end of the year. Ha!
FIVE: MY BABIES
They are not last on the list for any reason other than a great way to end a post!
My nurturing, old soul, smarter than she knows, spunky, sensitive, 7 year old.

My stubborn, funny, sweet, smart, shy, friendly, lover of super heroes, 3 year old.

My precious, innocent, melt Momma's heart, snuggable, 9 week old.
