Residential building in the US account for:

  • around 34% of all electricity consumption
  • 21% of all carbon dioxide emissions
  • 20% of raw materials use
  • 15% of waste output
  • Green homes sell around 5-15% faster than traditionally-built homes, and for up to 12% more money.
