July is nearly over and so this past month I have been trying and testing some amazing sportswear. I wanted to put together a combination of items I have and items I want! I'd personally say the bits above are more aimed at someone who likes running, but like most fitness gear it can be adapted and worn in the gym.
Top // Sweaty Betty, Elite Running Top Full Length Leggings // Sweaty Betty Contour Workout Leggings Trainers // New Balance, Sports Bra// Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra, Bumbag // Sweaty Betty Running Bag Massage Ball// Tkmaxx, Gym Bag // Puma Active Training Women's Sports Bag, Running top // Stella McCartney Running Top Vest Top // New Balance Racer Back Bra Top, Capri Leggings // New Balance Precision Run Capris
From the list above I have the New Balance items after they were sent to me to try out (watch out for a standalone post on their running gear). I used to run in the New Balance Zante Fresh Foam, so I was really excited to try the Boracay ones. One thing that is a major difference and bigger thumbs up is how much room my toes have to breathe. I hadn't realised but the free foams are quite narrow, so for long distance running my toes/nails were feeling the miles!
The vest top and capris from New Balance are what I call my 'go to' running items. Black and simple is sometimes all you need, particularly when they are comfortable and well made like these two pieces. To be honest I get so wrapped up in color that I forget that it is great to have some staple workout items like these.
The bits from Sweaty Betty are on point - as is to be expected by them! They always deliver no matter what season and I'm impressed they have a runners bumbag. Not a forgotten 80's throwback anymore - ideal for over sized phones and keys! You wouldn't be missed in those leggings would you?! Big fan of Sweaty Betty on a technical basis as well as being on trend.
I did a big campaign with Shock Absorber last year and stand by my statement, they are the best sports bras I use. They are super comfortable and more importantly, I sort of forget anything is on my chest because I'm so secure!
I totally don't need a gym bag but I felt myself gravitate towards this gorgeous Puma offering. I don't always think of Puma for sportswear, not totally sure why but this is a great size for those gym sessions. There are some of my short but sweet top picks for July in sports gear. What do you think? Have you tested any of this out? Or have you found something I should try?
