First Trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s Sci-Fi Film After Earth

Columbia Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for the science fiction thriller film After Earth. The project is directed by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, The Village, The Last Airbender), who has also given his hand on script writing along with Gary Whitta.

The movie is produced by James Lassiter, Will Smith and Caleeb Pinkett. Music is given by James Newton Howard.

The star casts include Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Kristofer Hivju, Gabriel Caste, Isabelle Fuhrman and David Denman.

Film After Earth aims to hit theatres on June 7^th, 2013.

Plot:

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Played by Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher Raige (Played by Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
