Verdict on First Time Caller

First Time Caller is a thriller following an internet shock-jock who receives an unusual phone call. It starts harmless enough, with him believing it to be another crazy late-night caller. However, the caller sends a disturbing warning about the world and the consequences which unfold.

This is a movie that could easily go hand in hand with ‘Knock at the Cabin’. Where it focuses on someone being told news they don’t believe and it starts unfolding in front of their eyes. It is tense, and suspenseful and shows that even the worst and loudest hosts can show a different side. You can also see elements on ‘Pontypool’ in the movie too, as watching someone learn what could be happening and seeing it happen is just as scary as being shown it. However, this is done with a slight comic tone, with how the information is gathered.
