The official first photos from Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained have been released and now I’m excited. The pictures include looks at Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to AnomalousMaterial, the film centers on Django, a freed slave-turned-bounty hunter who must return to his plantation to rescue his slave wife Broomhilda (Washington) from its evil owner, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Along the way, he teams up with bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz).
I have been oblivious to most of the previous press for Django Unchained, but now I’m a believer. While I didn’t love Inglorious Basterds as much as everyone else seems too, it was another fine movie in Tatantino’s crop. There’s little doubt that Django Unchained will be another success in his film career, but something about it has always struck me as odd. I’ll be looking forward to this come Christmas.
DJANGO UNCHAINED will be released in the U.S. on December 25, 2012.
