The first person who forcibly entered the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo Fort during the mass protest held on July 9 was arrested by the Colombo North Divisional Crimes Investigations Unit at Pannipitiya on Monday (1).
According to the police, this person has threatened the security officers on duty at the Presidential Secretariat premises on the same day with a knife before entering the premises.
He is a 38-year-old resident of old road, Pannipitiya.
The Colombo North Divisional Crimes Investigations Unit is conducting investigations into the incident.
