The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey received mixed reaction from the audience when it was released to theaters world-wide in last year. Even though, as a huge fan of Peter Jackson's LOTR series, I really loved this movie, despite the slight disappointment on the story. Jackson's plan from the beginning was to break the story into three sequels, which means two more sequels are on the way and the director has unveiled the first footage from the upcoming The Hobbit sequel,  The Desolation of Smaug.
In a YouTube live streaming event, Peter Jackson talked about his upcoming film while sitting awkwardly on a couch with his film-crew buddies. He answered some fan-questions and also revealed details, concept pictures from the next Hobbit film along with behind-the-scenes footage. I still regret missing the full live event, but luckily they've saved a six minute video of the best stuff, including a look at Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman and few more surprises . Check it out in the video after the break.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will hit theaters on December 13, 2013.
