Samsung has its biggest model of the A series released marking it as the biggest release in 2015. The smartphone is named Galaxy A9 following the success of the A8 and its key features comprise of 6-inch screen, 4000mAh battery and fingerprint sensor. However, the price has not been announced yet.
Samsung Galaxy A9 sports a Super AMOLED panel with full HD (1080x1920p) resolution and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. The smartphone also packs the octa-core Snapdragon 652 chipset with a 3GB RAM under the hood. The phone also comes with a 16GB internal storage with provision for expansion up to 128GB via microSD cards.
The Galaxy A9 also sports a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and LED flash; and a 8MP front camera. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 2G, 3G, 4G (Cat 7 speeds), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and microUSB 2.0. The sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
The battery which has a mammoth capacity of 4000mah also supports fast-charging technology (Also found in S6) thus reducing the charging time. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor just like its older sibling Galaxy A8. With the phone all set to be out for sale in China by the mid of January 2016, the South Korean Giant hasn’t yet announced the release dates for the other markets.
