Somehow, Charcoal and chalks are not natural to me. As far as I remember, I always loved to draw 'lines'… I was hatching my pupil and student notebooks and always admired the Greats who can express so much with a hand gesture. Renaissance drawings are appearing on paper like miracles…
With Charcoal and pastel, I need to start thinking of 'Values' - I progressively learn to see other things than shapes and lines, and try my best on shades and volumes.

More to be learnt though, still need to think the figure seats in the space, and the light is playing around.
