One of my favorite parts of my multifaceted job is making informative graphics, like this one all about the different types of t-shirt consumers:
We collected every t-shirt stereotype we could think of, the deep v, the beer shirt, the free fundraiser shirt. It was a long, fun process and it totally paid off.
Right after publishing our graphic Laughing Squid picked it up! From there it canvased the interwebs landing on the front pages of Trend Hunter, Design Taxi, the New Zealand Herald with loads of comments, tumblr reblogs, Tweets, Facebook shares and 33K views on Buzzfeed. It's also garnered moderate affection on infographic website, Visual.ly.
This is the second infographic I've published on Fibers.com. The first was one outlining the history of the Keep Calm Poster and the second was about the shift in American youth culture away from cars towards more sustainable transportation options.
As a result of my work at Fibers.com I've gotten lots of request for data visualizations and illustrated infographics. So I redesigned my website and my business Facebook page and I bought a few books on design freelancing.
It's an exciting time, so stay tuned!
