Renowned teen NFT artist, Fewocious has added another feather to his cap. He lately achieved an unprecedented secondary sale after his NFT, “The Sailor” was sold for 350 ETH or around $595,000 at the time. Unknown purchaser ‘capital6529’ purchased the NFT from its old owner, ‘2YeahYeah’. It is worth noting that “2YeahYeah” bought this piece early last year for just 46 ETH.

About Fewocious’ record NFT sale

On August 19th, capital6529 paid a whopping 350 ETH for “The Sailor” NFT by Fewocious. The loop-animated NFT depicts a transformed human face in typical Fewocious style—a world of vividly colored surrealist pop art. Its description reads: “I do not know what is ahead, and I cannot be sure. Moving onward and upward, my friend… at least I’m trying.”

After the sale, 6529 tweeted: “Took a long time to bring a @fewocious to the 6529 family.”

Meantime, Fewocious shared a touching message as well. “My high school English teacher saw this and messaged me that she wanted to add this piece and my story to her lesson on resilience for her students”.

Who is Fewocious?

Victor Langlois, famous as Fewocious, is one of the most successful NFT artists in the space. An eccentric artist, he has been making art since he was 13 and entered the NFT space for the first time in 2020. He was the youngest artist at Christie’s. In deed, his NFT auction with Christie’s saw the site go down a year ago.

Noticeably, his Christie’s auction of “Hello, I’m Victor (FEWOCiOUS) and this is my life” sold for $2.1 million. The series documented the artist’s hard childhood and his journey as a transgender. Thereafter, he sold a 1/1 NFT and physical artwork at a Sotheby’s auction for $2.8 M.
