Fetty Wap is gearing up to release his debut album very soon. WIth hit records like My Way, Trap Queen, and 679 Fetty is on the verge of being a household name. According to the Associated Press, the as-yet-untitled project will arrive on Sept. 25. In an interview Fetty disccussed the wait for his debut album.
“I’m just waiting for it to get mixed and mastered,” said Wap. “My album been done for like two months now.” The reason why there was a hold up on his album is that, Lyor Cohen, who signed Wap to 300 Entertainment, didn’t want to rush out an album.“Our industry is lacking on a wholesale level of artist development…and we feel that [Wap is] just so brilliant and has developed this new style, new sound,” said Cohen, who helped shape the careers of Jay Z, Ja Rule, and Ludacris.
