The first festival announcement of our summer sees Dan Le Sac -v- Scroobius Pip headlining the blissed out 2000 Trees festival in Gloucestershire.
Scroobius Pip’s most noted for his brilliant, brilliant opus “thou shalt always kill” but truth is his body of spoken word and written work is as impressive as anybody’s. Though taking time off from mass gigging so far in 2011, he was a regular feature at the now defunkt chill pill in 2010 associating himself with luminaries like Polar Bear and up and coming locals Adam Gnade and Georgie Pringle. Whether the line up will see some of this reflected as was the case with Frank Turner’s massive influence on the weekend last year remains to be seen, as does his presence or not on this year’s. With or without him it’s going to be the best one yet, but that’s the case every year and never disappoints.
Other acts on the bill include Los Campesinos, Imperial Leisure, So I watch you from afar, amplifier, your demise, malefice and kong. More about these guys later…
