Salvatore Ferragamo has designed the official uniform for the Republic of San Marino’s Olympic athletes. The collection is heavily influenced by the Italian label’s mainline aesthetic, with a focus on sophistication and craftsmanship.
Functionality, although a priority, doesn’t comprise style – seen in well-cut tailoring with a sporty edge; preppy, white cotton trousers; a silk crêpe dress; blue loafers and square toe heels adorned with a bow. Even accessories are given a stylish twist, with the label’s iconic bag – the Sofia, being re-imagined in luminous calfskin.
Ferragamo joins the ranks of designers creating Olympic kits, including Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren, Prada and, most recently, Hermès.
