#FenwickBeautyWeek Launch Event

Last week I was invited along to Fenwick, Newcastle for an exciting bloggers event to celebrate the launch of Fenwick Beauty Week. Not only did I walk away feeling very pampered with lots of treats, but you can get your hands on some too, just keep reading to find out more.
We were welcomed to the Tivoli restaurant and offered prosecco, or rose lemonade, as I'd driven through straight from work, I opted for the latter which was served with a striped paper straw. Snacks were laid out in a very cute afternoon tea style, mini peach melbas (my favourite), strawberry tarts and macarons. As you can imagine, they went down a treat! Each of us were asked to pick a few treatments/consultations to attend on the counters in the beauty hall, but there were plenty going spare and I ended up heading to four altogether, as a few other bloggers did too. First up, Chloe and I headed to Jo Malone for hand and arm massages. We were introduced to the new fragrances, asked which was our favorite (sakura cherry blossom - very sweet, floral and girly) then the assistant paired each with a moisturiser; Nectarine and Honey Blossom body creme to compliment the cherry blossom for me. We left, both feeling and smelling amazing. Next up was Laura Mercier and I was very excited to try out the new foundation. Lynsey, who assisted me, was absolutely lovely, telling me all about the products and complimenting my skin which was very happily received. The new foundation feels really light and looks natural, plus the color match was spot on. Thanks Lynsey, I'll be back soon to pick up one of those highlighters!La Prarie is a brand I've heard of for skincare (and very high end skincare at that) but I'd never dared to even go to the counter. I'm not sure why though, as the woman who I spoke to was really friendly, explaining the benefits of their new Eye Brightening Treatment, a concealer and treatment in some rather luxurious packaging. At £50 it might seem quite pricey, but you get 2 tubes of the product and it's a treatment as well as a concealer, so actually quite competitive to other brands out there! Finally I headed to YSL to speak to Lucy who let me customise the session as I'd already had my makeup done and she didn't want to take it all off to start over. Instead we chatted about the lipsticks, lipsticks in oil and she introduced me to Black Opium, which I now have a huge desire to purchase.
During Fenwick Beauty Week (11th-16th May) if you pop along to any of the counters I went to, Jo Malone, Laura Mercier, La Prarie or YSL and quote 'hellofreckles' you'll not only get to have a consultation, but a free sample too. If you're not around Newcastle to pop in, keep an eye out on Thursday as I've got something lined up that may interest you!
