Muse, The Gorillaz, Duran Duran, and the Beach Boys walk into a bar. The result= Island Apollo, a delicious cocktail made up of an 80s snyth sound, echo-y vocals, and a beachy funk surf undertone. The Southern California indie rock band released their single, “Feeling You” via Huffington Post. Produced by Eric Lilavois (Saint Motel, Atlas Genius), the group is no stranger to playlists and placements: making appearances on VH1, CBS, PBS, USA Network, Fox Sports, Sprint, Sobe, and Spotify.

The single is danceable, and delivers an upbeat, positive message about staying with someone through the good and bad. Chances are, they need you just as much as you need them. Island Apollo has managed to bottle up that sunny California coast feeling, and serves it up chilled, and on the rocks. The SoCal sound has been named Orange County’s “Best Pop Artist” at the OC Music Awards.

If you’re looking to escape the monotonous boring shows of a laptop and a single guitar note on repeat, check out your personal oasis — Island Apollo. It’s a sunshine-filled getaway from the generic music mainland.
