Feature Friday: Ghost Hours

We’ve got the next unknown to tell your friends about on this Feature Friday. Coming in like a mirage off the desert, Ghost Hours has released “For You” just in time for these record high temps. Already an accomplished composer, Ron Fountenberry started the electronic project about a year ago under the mysterious moniker. His debut EP is due out in the near future, but for now, the electro synth sound on this new track will keep you and your friends cool like a Popsicle.

“It’s a little out of focus in all the right ways like an old sun-stained Polaroid,” says AFROPUNK. It’s true; the background beat sounds like it could’ve been sampled from an old ‘90’s track, but the male vocals shimmer like lead vocalist from a favorite of ours: Jean-Philip Grobler of St. Lucia.

It’s a little trippy, a lot of chill and exactly the type of tune we’d add to our playlist for dog days at the pool. More of this please, Mr. Foutenberry!
