Another gem coming to us from California, self-starter Addie Hamilton is all things vintage. From her Marilyn style to her sultry voice, Hamilton is reminiscent of that classic jazz era.
Indeed, Hamilton claims much influence from greats like Eartha Kitt, Benny Goodman, and Peggy Lee. Her cover of Lee’s “Fever” is one that truly kickstarted Hamilton’s musical career. Beginning at the age of fourteen, Hamilton has immersed herself in singing, songwriting, vintage fashion and culture, and modeling–making quite a name for herself internationally. She’s a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has even been nominated for an Emmy!
Addie Hamilton is currently hard at work on her upcoming album, enlisting a hefty group of Grammy award-winning songwriters and producers. She also continually uploads cover videos to her Facebook, including Jet’s “Are You Gonna Be My Girl.” If you like seeing such classics in a refreshing light among today’s music scene, be sure to keep up to date with Addie Hamilton.
