Fathi-best Player of Samaposha Under 14 Football Tourney

N.M. Fathi and S.Walith of Kinniya Central College was adjudged as the best player and goalkeeper at the Samaposha under 14 all Island football final.

Captain of the Kinniya Central College, National School, in the district of Trincomalee, N.M. Fathi and goalkeeper S. Walith were adjudged as the best player and goalkeeper at the recently concluded Samaposha under 14 all Island football Championship 2023, sponsored by Samaposha, organised and conducted by the Sri-Lanka Schools Football Association.

Samaposha under 14 all Island Schools football tournament was conducted from the district level on the 1st week of July and the knockout stages upto the semi final was worked off at the Municipal ground, Dambulla on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of July , the final was held at the Race Course ground, Reid Avenue, Colombo-07, on the 30th of July.

Kinniya Central College, National School got qualified for the Samaposha under 14 all Island tournament from the district of Trincomalee and won their pre quarter, quarter and semi final matches held in Dambulla and entered the final to be played at the Race Course ground, Reid Avenue, Colombo-07.

Officials at the final noticing the talents of both these players adjudged N.M. Fathi as the best player and S. Walith as the best goalkeeper at the Samaposha under 14 all Island Schools football Championship 2023.
