Fat Tuesday!

Happy Mardi Gras, bling lovers. I hope you’ve taken time today to gorge yourself on King Cake, pazcki’s, ettoufe, and shrimp tacos! Whether you’re prepping for Lent, you’re nostalgic for your college trips to Bourbon Street, or you’re just really taking advantage of this #cheatday, anyone can find a good excuse to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Naturally, I’m celebrating with a face full of carbs that I already regret and all of my favorite green, purple, and gold jewelry. There’s nothing like beads when you’re 21 (or “21”) but for the post-grad crowd it’s time to upgrade your Mardi Gras finery. With a little help from David Yurman, Ippolita, some sick fancy yellow diamonds and estate pieces, you’ll be ready to boogie with the best of the balcony-bound. At least until tomorrow.

These floral shoulder dusters feature 2.80ctw of diamonds in addition to multi-colored amethysts, green peridot and red rubies.

These bold emerald cuff links show off Approximately 2.6ctw of Diamonds that are H in color, VS in clarity and emeralds that are about 2.30ctw.

This Bulgaria rose gold necklace is one of my new favorites in our estate designer jewelry case. Long layers of organically shaped amethyst beads pop against the crisp white enamel stations.

These fancy yellow oval earrings almost render me speechless. They’re 6+ carats each light fancy yellows certified by GIA. They are my everything, and I can only wear them around the store, pretending I’m the Queen of England (or New Orleans.)

These David Yurman clover earrings are a bit more suited to every day wear, but beautiful nonetheless. The diamond pave clover is reminiscent of VCA Alhambra but they’re a much friendlier price point at $3,295.

Another set of David Yurman earrings, these mosaic style beauties boast amethyst ovals and cabochons, along with rubies and diamonds.

More Yurman – let’s just call him the unofficial King of Mardi Gras – with these cable two tone peridot ear clips.

This gold Ippolita bangle is another of my new favorites. We’ve stocked up on Ippolita bracelets lately, lots from the lollipop collection, but this roughly hewn gold bangle caught my eye in just the right way for Mardi Gras.

These Officinal Bernardi earrings are 18t yellow gold plated sterling silver. They’re faceted so they shine like diamonds, but they’re pleasantly light, so you don’t get droopy earlobes no matter how late into the evening you wear these hoops.
