When my daughter was at primary school, she didn't have a school uniform & her wardrobe was every color of the rainbow....happy colours, plenty of Mini Boden, stripes, patterns, polka dots etc.
Fast forward to being a fairly typical teenager, she wears little or no color....which sort of makes me a tiny bit sad. We choose her clothes together....and her wardrobe contains lots of gray plus black & navy....and jeans with everything.
I was looking for a gift for an 8 year old friend the other day & loved the range of pink & pretty that I found online at Elfin Childrenwear....designer childrenwear yes, but definitely for everyday wear....
