Fancy A Bit Of Luxury? Travel In Style With These Tips

By G J @myfavesjournal

As you know, I do a fair bit of traveling throughout the year. I cannot complain because that is my life, but sometimes it gets monotonous. Flying economy, cooped up next to a stranger, or staying in a basic motel room is necessary, not something anyone particularly enjoys. So, every now and again I like to treat myself to a life of luxury when I travel. It is costly, but it is well worth it if you can afford it. Here are a few tips to make it happen if you are tired of traveling like an average Joe.

First and foremost, save the cash to make it happen. As I said, luxury is not cheap and you don’t want to spend money you don’t have. That is not a clever decision! Put a little bit of money away now and then so you can afford your piece of luxury. Also, try and take advantage of offers and bonuses that you have accrued. If you fly often, use your frequent flyer miles for an upgrade instead of a free, economy class flight.

Next, pick the right deal. If you are going to go for luxury, pick luxury. Don’t go half and half because you are unsure. If you have the money, you might as well spend it. After all, you cannot take it with once you go! Do a bit of research and find the best luxury deals you can that are within your budget. Once you pay for them, you are ready to travel in style.

I always like to spend a little more on my accommodation because I use it more than anything else. Business class flights are nice, but they might only last a couple of hours. You could spend a week in your digs, so you don’t want to live in a dump. Have a look at the location as well as the accommodation because both go hand in hand with regards to luxury. For example, if you plan on visiting London, Carlton Court luxury apartments are located in Mayfair. Mayfair is one of the most luxurious boroughs of one of the most luxurious cities in the world. If you get the location right, the luxury should soon follow.

Talking the talk is all well and good, but you want to walk the walk as well. Of course, traveling and living in luxury is a good start. However, you need to look the part, too. To do that, you need to upgrade your wardrobe. Take a trip off the high street and find a few boutiques that peak your interest. The quality is almost always higher than the generic clothes from the high street, and they certainly look the part. A couple of additions to your closet and you will have all the facets of luxury that you need.

These are just a few of favorites, but there are plenty more. If you have some of your own, don’t hesitate to share.
