Family Holiday's

By Ourbabyblog @OurBabyBlogx

Growing up I have been very lucky to have had been on lots of holidays, from France to Greece, Italy to America, I absolutely love new places and hope to show Abbie the world too. I think we're gonna wait till she can walk and talk a bit more before we venture off across the ocean, but when we do we really want to show her as much as we can, especially Disney Land, New York & Rome! Obviously I'm hoping to have won the lottery too and take her around the whole world, but one thing at a time eh! :)
With the summer holidays coming up, you're probably thinking about a nice family holiday away somewhere hot, with a beach and no worries, maybe Spain or Greece, or maybe you want to stay closer to home, maybe Cornwall or Dorset? So the weather might not be exactly perfect but as Brits we know how to make the most of it! I can't wait to take Abbie to the beach with her little s
wimming costume, sun lotion layered on thick, watching her with Daddy splashing in the water and building sandcastles, ahhhh the cuteness! Personally we love the local holidays, you can usually get great deals and lets face it, a car journey is a lot easier than flying!

When it comes to accommodation, I love those wooden lodges, Center Parcs style, the proper little cabins in forests and beautiful little cottages, I just think they're adorable, plus they're usually quite cheap too! Every year my mum, dad & I would go to Gloucester for a weekend, we'd bike ride, go for walks, explore the countryside and just have quality time together. My fondest memories are of the holidays we all went on!I really want to take Abbie to Disneyland, maybe Florida when she's older but definitely the Paris one sooner! We can pack up the car, use the Euro Tunnel & tra la! Make a long weekend or even a week of it, I've never been to Paris either, would be great to do some sight-seeing & photography!

I think a lot of families stress about holidays more than they need to, especially the cost, yes you will spend money but you really can budget & find some great deals online if you search well enough, I guess my one tip would be not to spend too much on the accomodation, after all, you're only going to be there for sleeping, the rest of the time you'll be out exploring! Plus a bucket and spade kept me entertained for hours! :)What was the first family holiday you went on? Where did you go?
