I don’t think it’s any secret I’m obsessed with plaid. More so than ever, plaid is everywhere. When at first it was just shirts and scarves, it’s now shoes, candles, towels…even mouthwash!

My downstairs bathroom is decorated in coral, gold, and gray decor. And every time I walk in there, it feels like summer. No one wants it to feel like summer in the fall when you’re surrounded by changing leaves, cinnamon candles, and plaid everything, right? So I decided to swap out my bathroom decor to match the season. My mom used to do the same thing around the holidays and my bathroom is fairy neutral, I’ve decided to change the decor every season. Here’s how I did my fall bathroom makeover:

I found these adorable towels at Target and between you and me, they’re kitchen napkins. But who says you can’t use them in the bathroom? I purchased solid color towels and put these over them to make them look more “bathroomy”.

I found these cinnamon scented pine cones and switched them out with the gray decorative balls in the gold dish. They smell AMAZING and I seriously want to put them in every room.

I purchased this little glass dish to hold faux acorns and placed them on the shelf in place of the knot.

I found a candle that matched the color scheme but also had a fall scent.

I used the extra napkins on the counter and switched out the soap for a matching colored one.

I found a kitchen towel to work as the hand towel in the ring.

I exchanged the canvas on the wall for a small one with fall favorites. I wanted to find something bigger but I loved the sayings on this one and thought it was perfect for fall.

This Listerine® Antiseptic was the final touch! This season, Listerine® has joined Target’s Mad for Plaid collection with these adorable plaid wrapped bottles. You can get your own from Target September 13th-October 31st, and get 10% off each bottle with this Cartwheel offer! I had no idea that just brushing missed 75% off your mouth and how crucial it was to floss and use a therapeutic mouthwash like Listerine®. I also like to leave little disposable cups in the bathroom so guests can use this at their discretion. Have you ever been somewhere and wanted nothing more than to brush your teeth after a snack, drink, or meal? This helps make my guests feel more comfortable and I’m happy to leave it out on the counter if it fits into my decor

I’m a plaid junkie and if I had it my way, I would redo every room in the house with plaid for fall. But to avoid my husband kicking me out and draining our bank account, I’ll stick with the bathroom for now. Happy fall y’all!

Do you decorate your house to match the season? How do you feel about plaid?
